With a family history of sales, service, and dedication to the customer spanning nearly 90 years, the McDowell family and its friendly staff remain committed to providing the public with a level of service unsurpassed in the business today.

Kyle McDowell, owner of McDowell South and lifelong resident of Jackson is very pleased and excited to announce the addition of RVs and enter into this phase of the family business; continuing a legacy started by his great-grandfather, Cleve Crites, who along with Tom Harris opened the first car dealership in Jackson in 1914. Ronald, Kyle's father, started his automotive career in the late 1960s as a wholesaler handling approximately 2000 vehicles per year nationwide. Ron purchased his own Ford dealership in Perryville, MO in 1992 and in 1997, Ron and Kyle built McDowell South, specializing in late-model, low mileage, pre-owned vehicles.

Avid outdoorsmen and horse lovers, Ron and Kyle yearned to offer the public something more. Sparked by a mutual passion for the outdoors, Kyle has made the move to the RV business carefully choosing the brands to carry in order to offer the highest quality, while having an RV option to meet any budget, continuing a legacy and making the enjoyment of the outdoors available to as many families as possible.
